The Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility welcomes members of the community to learn more about the research and scientific advancements that take place in laboratories in the following ways:

The Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility (NDIIF) offers small group facility tours year-round. The tour includes a walk-through of NDIIF's locations across campus and a guided explanation of the research capabilities. To schedule a tour with the imaging facility staff please send an email with group information and the requested time frame to

Science Fair Projects

The NDIIF is also happy to assist young aspiring minds with their school science fair project. NDIIF staff only asks that students come up with the idea and then the NDIIF will help out in any way possible. Please note that any data that is collected for the science fair project will be acquired by one of the facility's trained experts and can be used on a science fair project poster board only.  To request assistance with gathering images or data for the science fair project please email

Science and Engineering Fair

The University of Notre Dame hosts an annual Northern Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair on campus each year. This is an opportunity for young students to showcase their scientific minds and talent. Staff from the NDIIF have served as community school judges for the past ten years.

Upon email request, the NDIIF is happy to share a resource sheet of relevant educational outreach opportunities provided by the facility, including but not limited to, scientific coloring pages, links to educational resources and videos, and the opportunity to learn more about imaging through the University's unique and state-of-the-art Digital Visualization Theater.
